With Watches and Wonders as well as the spring auction season behind us, the watch market is calm and steady. And, generally speaking, 2024 is turning out to be a relatively stable year for Swiss made Rolex replica watches. Prices are down, and supply is up—and that spells “buyer’s market.” This is especially true of pre-owned Rolex.

As collectors, the problem with market-wide predictions and recommendations—and even simple observations—is that individual brands, models and even specific references can be moving in directions at odds with the general market. Back in May I noted that pre-owned Cartier and Breitling had dropped in value during Q1 of this year, and yet the Cartier Panthère rose 19.51 percent, while the Breitling Navitimer went up 18 percent. So, when people ask if it’s a good time to buy a watch, I always answer, “Depends on which watch.” We offer this caveat for Rolex, as well, and will use data to home in on the good deals.

Despite a few notable anomalies (which you’ll find below), right now is an excellent time to buy vintage, neo-vintage and, especially, recent-model pre-owned AAA CA fake Rolex sports watches. Though many collectors have noted this anecdotally to each other, we’ve turned to Chrono 24’s ChronoPulse watch market index to gain better insight. Clearly, Rolex is continuing its slow slide downward, with a substantial dip in the past two months.

I spoke with Eric Wind of Wind Vintage to get his feel for the current Rolex market, and he told me that, “People don’t realize they can suddenly go buy a modern Rolex for less than it would cost at retail. There was all this hysteria, and so that surprises people. Especially Subs and Sea-Dwellers, those are way down.”

If you know which references to look for and how to assess condition, you can walk away with cheap Canada replica Rolex Submariner, GMT-Master, Explorer II, or Oyster Perpetual 41 watches for far less than you would have just a couple years ago—in some cases, thousands less. With warnings and caveats in place, let’s get into this buyer’s market.

Neo-Vintage and Current Model Subs

The five-digit high quality Rolex Submariner replica watches (1980-2000s) are very tasty in style due to the aluminum bezel inserts—and if they’re dated before 1984-ish, you’ll get matte dials with painted markers for full-on vintage vibes (post-1983 Subs feature gloss dials with white gold marker surrounds). To get a sense of where the five-digit Subs are headed, ChronoPulse reports that the Submariner reference 16610 (which is post-1984 with glossy dial, gold indices, and caliber 3135) is down by -3.84 percent over three months, with many examples selling well below $10,000. I’ve even seen a few decent examples below $8,000. You can expect to pay more for 16800s with matte dials, however, as they’re more “vintage.”

If you’re interested in the modern six-digit references with the Cerachom (ceramic) bezel inserts and updated movements, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Swiss movements super clone Rolex Submariner reference 124060 watches (the current no-date version released in 2020) is down -6.58 percent over the past year, with a -5.25 percentage drop in the last month alone, according to the ChronoPulse Index. If you want a date complication, the current reference 126610LN is down -4.22 percent. Remarkably, both of these current models can be found right around retail prices plus tax—a common benchmark for used pricing. The 126610 with date can cost right around $13,000 with box and papers as of this writing, and the 124060 no-date model can be had for just over $10,000.

Maybe scoring a sub at retail isn’t quite the great deal is seemed just a few years ago.

Surprisingly, the all-green “Hulk” reference 116610 of 2010—which was once downright scarce a few years ago—just shot down -3.73 percent over the past 30 days. During the pandemic you’d be paying around $26,000 for a Hulk, but now they’re available for right around $17,000. That’s $9000 down, generally.

True Vintage Submariners

Though ChronoPulse doesn’t report data on the four-digit references (World War II to ~1979), we’d recommend looking at the revered 1680 top Rolex Submariner replica watches with date, which Rolex produced with “SUBMARINER” written in either red text or white. The revered “Red Sub” always costs more. We’re seeing good looking 1680s with white text down around $14,000, while Red Subs closer to $20,000 and up.

A caveat: Vintage prices tend to operate on their own calculus, as trends (and thus supply), as well as condition, drive that market in less predictable ways. In short, you’ll see a very wide variation in pricing, though the trend is generally down.

The Five-Digit GMT-Master II Is Looking Reasonable (Again)

It’s basically the same story for 1:1 China replica Rolex GMT-Master II watches, but the changes are less drastic. However, discontinued models like the steel reference 126710LN “Pepsi” on Jubilee bracelet is up +3.61% over the last 30 days (and here we see the failure of market-wide generalizations). Still, five-digit reference 16710 Pepsi GMT-Master II models are down by -1.14 percent over the past thirty days, and have come down a full -3.57 percent over the past year. Expect to pay under $10,000 for a nice GMT Master II, and even as low as $9000. That’s way down.

Condition of five-digit GMT-Master II references is especially influential on pricing, as the fading of the bezel insert tends to send some collectors head-over-heals if it’s especially ghosted (sun bleached), while excessive case polishing (which was common in the five-digit era) will drive prices downward. All this to say, there’s a wide range of pricing for GMT-Master II references, but if you’re looking for a very cool watch to wear every day, a relatively clean one can be had under $10,000.

The Explorer II Is Up and Down

If there’s a collector’s Rolex, it is the 40 mm wholesale fake Rolex Explorer II 16570 watches, especially with a “polar” (white) dial. These have always been the less desirable GMTs from Rolex, but they’re very popular with watch enthusiasts, partly because they were reasonably priced. As it turns out, the 40 mm 16570 with a black dial is up +3.89 percent over three months (likely due to recent journalism on the 16570, as well as growing demand for smaller watches). Meanwhile the six-digit 42 mm 226570 is down by a full -4.45 precent in the same time period.

You can always expect to pay more for white dials than black ones with Explorer II references, but the prices are really down: Around $8000 for a black dial, and as little as $8500 for a white dial as of this writing. As always, condition, service history and box and papers will be important.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 is Way Down, and Datejusts Keep Going Up

This may come as a shock, but according to ChronoPulse, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41 124300 (in various dial colors) is down -20.99 percent. That’s a watch that you could hardly get your hands on during the pandemic, and I would assume that the reason for this is that people are reaching for smaller best quality Rolex replica watches. However, if you’ve ever worn a 41 mm “OP,” you’ll know that they wear quite small due the stout lugs and excellent bracelet integration. You can get one for around $7500 today.

If my theory about size driving the market doesn’t convince you, consider that the Datejust 36 reference 126234 is up by +6.5 percent over three months. The Datejust’s impressive performance may also indicate the growing preference for dressier watches. Based on anecdotal reports from fellow collectors, that assessment feels right.

The Daytona, Milgauss, and More

I think the picture I’m painting, supported by data, is relatively clear: This is a Rolex buyer’s market, with some exceptions for specific models.

For example, steel Daytonas remain expensive overall (roughly double what you’d pay at retail), and yet the Swiss 1:1 fake Rolex Daytona 116500LN watches from 2016 came down -5.27 percent over three months, and even the discontinued Milgauss 116400GV is down a full -7.56 percent in that time. Daytonas and discontinued models going down is a clear sign of the buyer’s market.

As with buying any pre-owned watch: Do your research, find a great example, and take note of whether you’re looking at an anomaly that shot up in price, or if you’re getting a good deal because that model’s price has fallen. Rolex Unveils 4 New Perfect 2024 Replica Watches For Canada At Watches And Wonders 2024

The word on Rolex’s new introductions last week at Watches and Wonders, the annual Geneva watch fair, is that the brand has come back down to earth after last year’s groovy Swiss AAA replica Rolex Day Date Puzzle watches and the whimsical Oyster Perpetual with a colored bubble dial.

Also on the surprise spectrum this year is the new Canada luxury replica Rolex Cosmograph Daytona watches, with mother-of-pearl dials and a bezel set with gems in sizes we normally associate with Chopard or Cartier jewelry watches. Perhaps that’s why Rolex first conceived of what we now know as the Daytona, as the Le Mans (as seen in my original advertisement above). However, Le Mans is more historic as a race, one might argue, and Rolex has been a part of it for generations. So it would make sense that this chronograph, indeed a Daytona, but also a Le Mans, would be shown at its 100th running.

So what is the watch, really? It’s basically a latest generation Daytona (easily identifiable by the metallic bezel ring first seen here at Watches and Wonders 2023), but with what some would call an “exotic” dial, or, in layman’s terms, a “Paul Newman” dial. Beyond that, you have an open caseback like the 2023 platinum watch, and I think, most importantly, an entirely different caliber (4132), which features a chronograph with a 24-hour counter instead of 12. It is a simple change but a meaningful one, and again, proof that Rolex isn’t resting on its laurels… ever.

There are so many things to discuss on this watch – and that’s why you have a 20-minute video up top of me rambling about it. But let’s quickly run down some important points. First, there’s the open caseback, which makes the watch feel a bit thicker than my other Daytonas. But notice I said feel, and that’s because when I actually measured how thick the best Rolex copy watches is, it’s not any thicker. So the whole “sapphire back = thicker profile” is a bit misguided, and my feeling is just that: a feeling, not fact.

The other thing to note about the caseback and the gold rotor is that this caliber really looks very, very nice. Does it compare to a hand-wound Patek or Lange chronograph caliber in terms of finishing? Certainly not, but that’s not the goal, nor are they priced the same. I think there is an assumption that Rolex calibers look industrial because that is how they are made, but as I told you almost 10 years ago when I went inside Rolex, you would be shocked at how much handwork is done on these movements. And the 4132 looks really good, as you can see here. You have deep Geneva stripes on the base plate, and the yellow-gold rotor is also finely finished.

And about that movement – the 4132 is a new caliber number, and indeed, it does do something different than the 4131 caliber found in every other Swiss movements replica Rolex Daytona watches –counting 24 hours instead of 12. Rolex says it needed seven additional components to accomplish this – which is to say, not a lot, but the deviation is significant for a few reasons. New Rolex calibers don’t happen often, and they also didn’t need to do this. Sure, it only took seven components to make that hour counter jump from 12 to 24 hours, but that should be commended – because Rolex is about efficiency, and it speaks to the quality and ingenuity of a Rolex caliber to be able to create what I believe to be one of, if not the only mechanical chronograph to count an elapsed full day (however I’d kindly encourage anyone to check us on this fact).

A 24-hour counter doesn’t seem like a big deal, and perhaps many will say no one else has made it because a 12-hour counter plus the human brain makes for a decent 24-hour counter – but the simple truth is that the same could be said for just about anything in high watchmaking. And Rolex did it, and they did it with a real purpose behind it – with an authentic connection to a 24-hour race in Le Mans. It’s also easy to write off the 24-hour counter as a diminutive contribution to watchmaking, but when you really consider how difficult it is to make chronographs, your mind might change a bit. As an example, look at the Patek Philippe catalog, and you won’t find a chronograph with any hour registers. The 5172 and 5270 – arguably among the finest chronographs in the world, top out at 30 minutes. Patek’s more utilitarian caliber in the 5905 tops out at 60 minutes of elapsed time. The Datograph? 30 minutes as well. You get the point.

Also, I am reminded of the Baselworld 2018, when many said the rainbow bezel was a trivial contribution to gem-setting in watchmaking (well, not Cara, she said the opposite), and look at the world now. As such, mark my words; we will see a few more 24-hour chronographs in the years to come. But like these other Rainbows, none will compare to the original in this Daytona.

Another other thing to note here is that this dial is not the rich, almost glossy black you’ll see on a steel Daytona, but it’s almost metallic grey. There is a sheen to it I did not expect to see at all. It doesn’t make it better or worse, but it’s a detail you only see with the cheap fake Rolex watches on your wrist – not often in photographs of it on the Internet. And as for the dial itself, we are really talking Paul Newman style here, with small square markers at the end of each totalizer’s hash marks in a way that I don’t think any of us saw coming.

Now, it’s important to know where the “Paul Newman” style dial lives in the lore of Rolex collectors because it’s something that gets thrown around a lot. First, as anyone will tell you, these special dials are fraught with challenges, but there is something undeniably cool about them. So much so that even today, years after watch collecting has entered the mainstream, they demand such a significant premium over a normal, non-exotic-dial Daytona. This can be hard to understand, particularly because we have no way of knowing which watches were born with which dial. But in the world of Rolex, so much of the value lives within the dial that it almost doesn’t matter. The most expensive Daytonas in the world, almost without fail, are those with this style of dial in them, and I wasn’t even referring to that $18 million Paul Newman Daytona. So it only makes sense that when Rolex finally brings out a contemporary Cosmograph with this style dial, the world would pay particular note. Of course, this watch is 18k white gold – not steel – in hopes of, perhaps, elevating the price point out of the realm of possibility so as to not exacerbate the already challenging supply issues (relative to the remarkable demand that AAA China Rolex replica watches still enjoy).

Where Does The Le Mans Daytona Sit Within A Daytona Lover’s Collection?

It’s no secret that I love the Daytona. I own a few of them – including both the white and black dial version of the last steel reference (116500LN) and a white gold on Oysterflex. They’re all well worn – and the black dial steel watch now lives with my mother in the greater Rochester, New York, area (shout out to the several weirdos at Wegmans up there who have tried to buy it off her wrist!). But they’ve long been staples of my collection – and does the Le Mans change that? Of course, it doesn’t. But it does make one reconsider what is so great about a modern Daytona to begin with. For me, it’s the heritage, the design, the functionality, and frankly, the fact that I can do absolutely anything in them while still giving me that special feeling I had way back in 2016 when I got my first new Daytona, or years before when I got my first vintage Daytona. It’s not a replacement for any other older Daytona, and frankly, with the way that Rolex at retail goes, the odds of this Swiss made Rolex super clone watches being anyone’s first Daytona is practically zero.

Could the Le Mans be your only modern Daytona? Of course it could be, if you could get used to the additional weight and the fact that white gold takes on scratches way more easily than Rolex’s proprietary steel. The polished center links seen here, and on every contemporary Daytona, do attract them in a serious way, as does the polished case band. But that’s nothing new to Rolex, and if it were a real issue, Rolex would do something about it. The fact that they don’t says they feel it performs the way it should. And that’s good enough for me.

Is There Really Any Competition To The Le Mans? Not Really, But If We Had To Pick One, It Would Be This.

What would a “Week On The Wrist” be without considering what some competition to the Le Mans might be? It’s hard because there isn’t anything that quite matches this one due to the simple impossibility of its acquisition. Maybe a white gold Royal Oak chronograph? But that doesn’t feel quite right. The best thing I could come up with – assuming we’re not talking about how difficult anything is to acquire in the marketplace – is the Omega Speedmaster Professional in Canopus gold. Now granted, one of them is automatic, the other hand-wound, but otherwise, they do very much the same thing and represent arguably the two most important chronograph families in the history of watchmaking. You also seldom see either in the real world.

Now, what’s interesting here is that the Canopus Speedmaster actually costs more at retail (Canopus is not pure white gold, but rather is an alloy that features some platinum, rhodium, and palladium that gives it an intensely white color) than the Le Mans, and because of those other elements, weighs even more on the wrist. Frankly, the Canopus 3861 is absurdly heavy, but after some time wearing it, it’s impossible not to love the heft. As for which movement is finished better? They are similar, though one, of course, has a rotor, the other does not.

These are two heavy-weight champs here, with similar characteristics in several ways – but market dynamics might say otherwise. Because at the time I recorded the video above, the average transaction price for the Le Mans on the secondary market was around $235,000 – for a $52,000 watch. This is another reason why comparing the Le Mans to the Canopus 3861, or frankly any other chronograph on Earth, makes no sense at all.

The Outlook For The Rolex Daytona Le Mans Reference 126529LN

I spent a good few minutes talking about this in the video above, but for those of you who still prefer the written word – the outlook for the Le Mans remains unclear. Contrary to what has been reported – that about 2,400 units are being made for this year, and 2,400 units will be made with a white dial next year – there is nothing official out there about such things. There was even a rumor that it was already discontinued, but I am quite sure that that’s not the case because I know of one being delivered just last week. The Le Mans is indeed the modern Daytona of my (and our collective) Daytona dork dreams, but if it doesn’t stay that way, should Rolex continue to make it in perpetuity, then I’d suggest you reconsider your lust for this replica Rolex watches wholesale. I would love this thing to be made for years to come, in countless iterations, because the “exotic” dial deserves to live alongside the standard dial in the catalog just like it did in-period.

Now, I am not saying that that is what will happen – I have absolutely zero inside information about this or any plans within Rolex fake watches for men for anything – I am simply giving you my own little bit of fan fiction here. It would be my dream that Rolex makes this dial for years and years to come and that anyone who wants one is able to get one. Will that happen? Probably not. But with time, lots of folks may be surprised. Remember how impossible it was to get a steel Daytona way back? Now think about how many of your #watchnerd friends have them. Okay, still not a ton, but some! And I suspect the same will be true the Le Mans. And even if it does remain pure unobtanium, the Rolex Le Mans Daytona is special enough as a marker in both Rolex and motorsport history that it deserves to be celebrated as that. Because it really is just such a good watch – something special enough to make even the coldest of watch collectors’ hearts run warm while still being useable enough to wear daily. In other words, the Le Mans Daytona is peak Rolex. And that’s why I love it.

Then again, what else would you expect a guy to say who wrote 6,000 words about a watch called Le Mans in 2013? To me, it gets absolutely no cooler than the new Rolex chronograph that’s called Le Mans.

The Cheap Swiss Rolex Supreme Submariner Versus The Asprey Daytona Replica Watches For Canada – Which Went For More?

Earlier this month, we went hands-on with a curated selection of ‘fine’ lots from the Sotheby’s Fine Watches auction, a rolling online auction that had all of its lots end on December 12. There were a ton of interesting lots, but two in particular I kept a close eye on. Not because I could afford them, but rather I was pitting them head-to-head eager to see which customized Rolex would go for more: the best replica Rolex Asprey Daytona or the Supreme Submariner watches. Also, the last lots belonging to notable Australian collector Alan “Hammer” Bloore were up for grabs. Let’s dig into these results below.

The Supreme Submariner versus the Asprey Daytona

While the Supreme Submariner is rather infamous in the watch world, with its massive Supreme crossover appeal and profane ‘F*CK EM’ red text on the dial, has long been customised CA top Rolex fake watches of intrigue. Understandably, the estimate was set between US$50,000 – $100,000. It’s a sizeable premium over its original cost. But, it remains unclear what the nature and genesis of this “collaboration” was. Sotheby’s explained to me: “The collaboration between Asprey and Rolex has been highly coveted since the 1970s when the Omani government began ordering customized ‘Omani’ dial timepieces to be given as gifts for British SAS soldiers who were involved in the Dhofar Rebellion (1970-1976). Asprey was an official retailer of Rolex and is well known for selling customised pieces.” It is a stunning Daytona I firmly believe Rolex should just make themselves one day. But even in that uncertainty, I suspected while leaving Sotheby’s after my visit that the Supreme Submariner would likely go between its estimate. The Asprey Daytona, though, which I was smitten with, I firmly believed would go over its conservative estimate of US$70,000 – US$100,000. Even were it to go within the estimate, it would be well over even the secondary market price of steel 2024 China Rolex Daytona replica watches of the same reference number. But I just had this inkling, which ultimately proved correct. The final hammer price of the Supreme Submariner: US$63,500. The final hammer price of the Apsrey Daytona: a whopping US$177,800.

I know it is not an apples-to-apples battle, considering it is not two of the same model that was customised. But, it would seem the Supreme hype cannot overpower the mystique of this lesser-known Asprey Daytona. At least lesser known for now…

To recap for those unfamiliar, Alan “Hammer” Bloore has been a fixture of the watch-collecting community for decades. The Australian collector is known as an early “Paneristi”, ahead of the curve in collecting coveted references from the legendary Italian dive watch brand Panerai. Sadly, Bloore would find himself paralyzed below the armpits after a boating accident in the early 2000s. This, however, did not break his spirits nor extinguish his enthusiasm for collecting Rolex fake watches for sale. The first batch of Bloore’s watches, 37 in total, were hammered off in the Important Watches auction and achieved US$1.6M. The remaining 17, 15 of which were sold during the Fine Watches auction, managed to rake in a total of US$178,121. Below you can find the top five results from Bloore’s collection of lots.
